PASSION FOR GENERATIONS

In 2017, the VIRIBUS UNITIS brand was brought back to life and ushered into the modern age by its CEO and owner, Thomas Hiden. This re-establishment is far more than just adopting a resonant name; it sees itself as the continuation and revolutionization of this Austrian watchmaking tradition.

The company, which now manufactures its luxury wristwatches in the Vienna Woods, deliberately ties back to these imperial roots. The goal is to fuse the spirit of the old times with the latest technologies and most modern designs:

  • Historical Echo Meets Modernity: While the old Viennese pocket watches stood for classic elegance, today’s models reinterpret this spirit. Craftsmanship and Manufacture remain central values, but presented in a cool, modern vintage style with striking, large-format designs that are often inspired by historical Austrian elements (e.g., former naval aircraft of the k. u. k. era).

  • Quality as a Legacy: Like the historical pocket watches, today’s luxury watches are also characterized by the highest level of qualitative craftsmanship, for example, through the use of the finest sapphire crystal and high-quality movements from Switzerland and Germany.

  • The Design Story: The collections, thematically based on the elements “Land,” “Air,” and “Water,” carry the design story of an Austrian origin, which underlines the brand’s deep-rooted identity.

The current company Viribus Unitis is thus the proud bearer of a historical and cultural heritage. It not only revitalizes an imperial motto but also reanimates the tradition of old Austrian watchmaking, transferring its standards of exclusivity and handcraft into the 21st century. It is the “United Forces” of history, craftsmanship, and innovative design that define the special character of these Austrian luxury watches.

The essence remains: We don’t just build watches – we build stories for the wrist.
